The MBI Al Jaber Foundation Supports Europa Nostra – the Voice of Cultural Heritage in Europe

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber, founder, Chairman and sole patron of the MBI Al Jaber Foundation, and founder, Chairman and CEO of MBI International and its subsidiaries is supporting Europa Nostra, the European federation of heritage NGOs.

The MBI Al Jaber Foundation contributes €10,000 per annum to the organisation, which is the voice of civil society across 40 countries in Europe committed to safeguarding and promoting Europe’s cultural and natural heritage. Europa Nostra campaigns to save Europe’s endangered monuments, sites and landscapes and celebrates excellence through the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards, as well as contributing to the formulation and implementation of European strategies and policies related to heritage. Founded in 1963, Europa Nostra is today recognised as the most representative heritage network in Europe.

Sheikh Mohamed and the MBI Al Jaber Foundation, as well as firmly believing that education, cultural dialogue and good governance will enable future generations to prosper in a better connected, more productive and peaceful world, also give support to projects focussed on cultural heritage, so that future generations of young people from the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) and Europe have the opportunity to learn about and take pride in the culture of their predecessors.

A champion of global, social and economic philanthropic causes for more than two decades, Sheikh Mohamed, together with the MBI Al Jaber Foundation, works towards building bridges between the Middle East and the wider world, promoting transparency, accountability and democracy across the MENA region.
